Shop Buildings and contents are covered against most forms of accidental loss or damage including theft, malicious damage or riot, fire, lightning, explosion, burst water pipes, storms and flooding. Extensions to Shop contents insurance include freezer cover. Glass and lock replacement are usually offered as part of the basic cover.

Business interruption cover is a basic shop policy extension which provides cover for loss of income due to inability to trade in the event of any claim under your Shop Buildings and Contents policy, including additional expenses necessary to keep your shop in business whilst repairs are carried out.

Employers’ liability is compulsory for shopkeepers and up to higher limits cover is available. Public Liability protects your customers and up to higher limits cover is available
Legal expenses cover for the costs incurred against a range of potential legal actions
Goods in transit cover, covers your goods during transit by road or rail with the exception of boats.
